Dr Tan Peng Hui
Dr Tan Peng Hui has been an endodontist for more than 10 years. Dr Tan graduated with the Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 1987. In 2002, he obtained the Master of Clinical Dentistry (Endodontology) from the University College of London (UK) on an SAF Postgraduate Training Award and received the Endodontic Book Prize for the highest clinical and academic achievement.
Dr Tan is a self-confessed perfectionist, known by his colleagues for quality patient care, creativity and an inventive style. He will complete every root canal treatment to his exacting standard and satisfaction, even if it means seeing fewer patients. He is a registered Specialist in Endodontics with the Singapore Dental Council and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine. He is a part time lecturer on Endodontics with the National University of Singapore Faculty of Dentistry and the Editor-In-Chief of the Singapore Dental Journal.
Dr Tan is better known as Singapore pioneer forensic dentist and his long public service in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). His awards include the National Day Commendation Medal (Military), SAF Overseas Medal (Non-operational), SAF Tsunami Relief Operation 2004 Medal, the Minister of Health Award for the Tsunami Relief Operation 2005, Letter of Commendation 2007 (Taiwan F-5F crash), the 2011 Minister of Health 10-year Vounteer Award and Bar to the SAF Overseas Service Medal, New Zealand 2011.
