Dr Adrian Shi
Dr. Adrian Shi is a MOH accredited specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
Dr. Shi received his Master of Dental Surgery in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore. He has an outstanding academic record, was placed on the Dean’s Lists and won the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Book Prize. Dr. Shi was awarded a scholarship from the National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS) for his specialist training. He was also admitted as a Fellow of the prestigious Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
Dr. Shi was a Consultant at NDCS and Singhealth, the Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and Co-Chairman of the Sedation Workgroup. He taught residents and held the appointments of a clinical teacher in NUS, and clinical instructor in Duke-NUS Medical School. Dr. Shi received the Target Zero Harm Award for his work in improving patient safety and the Singhealth 10-year Long Service Award.
His professional interests include oral surgery, dental implants, jaw surgery and virtual surgical planning. Dr. Shi has published many scientific papers and has spoken at several international conferences. He also received several publication awards in NDCS. Dr Shi is active in the OMS and dental associations. He is the President of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Singapore and a Senior Mediator in the Singapore Dental Association Ethics Committee.
Dr. Adrian Shi has an approachable and pleasant personality. He has received many service awards – the NDCS Smile Award, Singapore Health Quality Service Award and One CGH Cares Award, affirming his passion for quality patient care. He also volunteers in the grassroots organisation and serves as a Senior Dental Officer in the Navy. Dr. Shi spends his free time entertaining his young kids and enjoys reliving his childhood through them.
